Diversity in research teams

Success with diverse teams
Support young talent from emerging countries and high-performance research at the University of Bern with a scholarship.
At the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research, multidisciplinary teams collaborate to develop innovative health technologies and cost-effective solutions for unmet medical needs. In order to improve the performance of the research teams and to increase the research base for medical technology innovations, ARTORG and the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (CAIM) want to make targeted use of the advantages of diversity in teams. Therefore, young talents from countries that have so far been underrepresented in research teams will be given access to specialised STEM master studies.
The ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research at the University of Bern is a multidisciplinary centre of excellence for medical engineering. ARTORG has a strong clinical and translational focus and covers the entire arc from the exploration of potential innovations to their clinical introduction. The CAIM is a research, teaching and translation platform for medical technology. CAIM explores the possibilities of artificial intelligence to improve patient care and facilitate the work of doctors and nurses.
