Scientific approaches form an important foundation for sustainable policymaking. Researchers therefore need access to relevant data and adequate funding for their work so that they can generate knowledge and contribute it to policy processes.
In emerging economies in particular, there is often a lack of established academic structures capable of meeting these requirements. Through targeted funding, the WTI aims to bridge these gaps in order to provide opportunities for young researchers regardless of their background and thereby advance sustainable policymaking internationally.
