# Diversity in Research Teams

By funding a scholarship, you can enable promising graduates from underrepresented countries to pursue a Master's degree at the University of Bern and contribute to diverse research teams.

## Diversity as a Driver of Innovation

At the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research, multidisciplinary teams collaborate to develop innovative health technologies and cost-effective solutions for unmet medical needs.

To enhance the performance of research teams and expand the research base for medical technology innovations, ARTORG and the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (CAIM) aim to leverage the benefits of diversity in teams.

This will give promising young talent from countries currently underrepresented in research teams access to specialised STEM Master's programs.

## Building Bridges Between Research and Clinical Practice

The ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research at the University of Bern is a multidisciplinary center of excellence for medical technology. ARTORG has a strong clinical and translational focus and covers the entire spectrum from exploring potential innovations to their clinical implementation.

CAIM is a research, teaching, and translation platform for medical technology. CAIM explores the potential of artificial intelligence to improve patient care and facilitate the work of physicians and nurses.
